Cosmic/nebula wedges!

If you're any kind of blogger or blog follower, you will have undoubtedly seen the cosmic/nebula wedges which became an instant web phenomenon throughout the fashion world. After completely falling in love with them, I found out they were around £120, and whatsmore, they weren't even on sale any more. I don't know who originally created them (despite extensive research) but I have to give credit for the excellent idea.

So these were hand painted by me, after buying some cheap wedges off of eBay. I'm not 100% happy with how they came out...the paint I bought was cheap crap (and I only had about 3 colours and one thick brush) and I finished them in about a day, but I think they look okay. Obviously I could never match the expertise that went into making the originals :(

Just thought i'd give them a share anyway, because even though they aren't nearly as good they did only cost me £30 overall (inc. the shoes, paints etc.) which is a saving of £90.

P.S. I'm starting uni on saturday and I can't to give these puppies their first outing...eeek!!

I should have really told you about this sooner (sorry!), but i'm selling some old clothes on eBay that I don't wear anymore - trust me, with some of these it breaks my little heart to see them go, but I just have far too many to take to Uni and I need money! So if you want to have a gander and see if theres anything you like, these are just some of the things that are up there.

Just to warn you though, I am selling other more boring stuff, including my mums/sisters old clothes, so don't be freaked out, haha :)

Pink Ombre Hair!

Yeah, so...pink! I love it sooo much, although its not pink anymore because I washed it out :( I'm thinking about doing it turquoise/lilac before uni, but for these I will be forced to actually bleach my hair, or the colour will come out muddy. Hmm! But can this trend last forreeeevvverrrrr please, I LOVE ombre hair, its so amazing!

I'm also wearing an outfit of some sort above, but didn't really get a good picture! :( This was at my friends 20th at a bar in Oxford Street, and actually it was wearing this outfit that I was stopped by a street fashion photographer for London Lite, very exciting!

I was wearing a cream sheer shirt from eBay, vintage high waisted Levi shorts, suspender tights and shoe boot wedge heels. I wish I had a proper picture because I really liked this outfit!

Been meaning to do this post in a while! The lovely people from Aussie Hair recently sent me and other bloggers to get our hair done in London! However this came right slap bang in the middle of my exams, so I didn't have a chance to do a post on it. I also didn't have a camera, these are from Hannah!
You may have noticed my hair is very...um....ginger ;) I dyed my hair lighter a while ago and my hair is completely different to this now, but at the hairdressers she toned it and trimmed it and it felt lovely afterwards, a real Aussie haircut! :) Please ignore my ugliness in these pics!

Some more posts coming up, including my new hair (which I think you're all going to love, if I do say so myself!) and my wedding outfit. Both are more exciting than they sound, trust me!

Hey guys, I know i've been a bit shit recently (understatement of the century) and i've been getting a lot of comments and formspring questions about when/if i'm coming back.
I unofficially plan my glorious return to fashion blogging when I finish my exams, which is 17th June 2011.
Without boring you too much with my life story, I'm trying to get into Sussex University, but to do so I've had to take a Geography A Level at home, which I started in February, equating to a two year course being attempted in less than five months, haha. So since February I've clocked over 800 hours at the library (i'm not kidding, I worked it out)...oh god seeing it written down pretty much makes me realise what a total loser I am...fml.

ANYWHO, I got Aussie events, TONNES of new outfit posts (my past months as a social recluse has pretty much tripled my eBay buying...again, fml) and loads of new stuff on eBay (I lost my job so its going to be my only form of income LOL) coming up this summer, although I am going on a few holidays but it won't really impact too much, as I only post twice a week or so.

Anyway, if you got through this sad little essay of woe just know i've not disappeared off the planet...JUST SO YOU KNOW

FINALLY it feels good to be blogging again! I got my Spirit Hood today YAYYY and I love it! Sorry I look like a twat in the first couple of pictures, for some reason its really tempting to make an animal face when you're wearing this thing :)

A couple of downers on it though:
a) It probably wasn't worth what I paid for it. Which ended up being £130, including £80 for the scarf and £50 for P&P aswell as Customs charge. It's super cute though, so I don't regret it! Plus Spirit Hoods were really nice and hopefully will be able to sort something out with me over the £30 customs charge.
b) Lot of irritating, mean people have been taking the piss out of me/been annoyed at me for spending so much on it. But I never indulge myself, and I put this money aside to cheer myself up after exams. So I can spend my damn money how I want!

Some good things too...
a) Spirit Hoods is expanding to the UK, so I'll be able to get morrree muahahaa!
b) EVERYONE loves it! I don't even have to wear it up as a hood, for a more casual look, I wear it as a scarf with the hood hanging.
c) If you're in the US, its obviously not as expensive. And the half-hood equivalents are super cute and much cheaper.
d) OBVIOUSLY its fake fur, duh! I love animals - I don't wear them.

If you're ever planning on visiting London/England then this is definitely on the list of stops for anyone who loves fashion. Infact, even if you don't, its pretty incredible to just turn up, wander around, get some thai food, that sort of thing!

The market is definitely a sight to behold, I literally spent a whole weeks paycheck there within a few hours. Not to say its expensive - the Topshop-style clothes are very cheap!

I was going to show you my purchases, but one of the tops are in the wash so i'll wait for my next post :) These are pics me and my friend took. You can totally tell who has the good camera, right?

In some other personal news...

So the titles a little bit of a lie, my results were good and I was really pleased with them, but I didn't get into my Unis and I got into nowhere through clearing. So I'm officially here for another year! (If you did need to know the horrible details, they're on my formspring. I felt it a bit tedious to type out my life story on the blog)

The way you can view this is as a good or bad thing. The good thing is, there will still be a post every 2/3 days as I imagined when I got to Uni i'd be put off by adjusting/partying/work etc. As you can imagine the last week i've been headless-chickening trying to sort stuff out!

Posts are coming back to regular v soon, for the entire year, but obviously I needed that little break. To be honest i've been wandering around with no makeup and spontaneously bursting into tears anyway, and thats not particularly attractive for photo taking.

This also gives me time to a) Actually start my eBay/blogshop (Which will be very soon) and b) Save up that money to buy a proper camera, a D3000 (like kavitas from iheartvintagex) which means better quality pics and more of them!

Sorry for boring-ness, but I thought I should explain, seeing as I've lost two followers in the last week!

Hey guys. I don't normally do these lame apology-style posts, but just thought i'd give you a quick update!

In a couple of hourse I get my A Level results - if you've seen my profile you'll know i'm on a GAP year to resit exams. For those of you who asked, i'm hoping to go to Leeds or Sheffield Uni :)

So basically i've spent the whole week freaking out and constantly going out and getting drunk to avoid thinking about today, which is why theres been no posts in like over a week!

If today goes well, all should go back to normal in a couple of days, but if it goes badly I might not want to do any outfit posts for a little while - hope you guys understand. Would be pretty devastating to know I put all this hard work in for nothing!

So good luck to anyone else getting results! And whatever happens today, I just hope it will be as quick and painless as possible!

They've been seen on tonnes of celebrities recently (including Ke$ha, as shown below) and they recently expanded to be able to deliver outside the US (For a hefty shipping and handling fee :/) so I can see these things getting big. Plus a percentage of every purchase goes to a charity for the animal of the print you buy :)

No-one can get away with this look and still look pretty and feminine imo, so I hate the cut. On the other hand, i've always thought shes one of the most stunning girls in the UK so she can kind of get away with it. I far preferred it the way it was, though.

Wasn't sure about these ones, but I love them so much, so I hope you do too! I spotted them on the Topshop website MONTHS ago but they sold out in minutes. At only 28 pounds they were a steal for Topshop, so I snapped them up!

I turned nineteen last Friday :( Not very happy about it! I loved eighteen! But for my birthday I got my nose pierced :) It looks sooo lovely and not chavvy at all, though I get why some people think it is! I'll show you some pics of it soon but its still sore at the moment, so I'll wait a little bit :)

Fairytales and Facebook

Heyyy kids, I'm back (again). Just been a weird few weeks, no excuses! I'm back on the old schedule now though, I didn't realise how much i'd miss blogging (and hearing from you guys!). So this is the Aussie event that I went to Saturday, joined by fellow bloggers Kavita of iheartvintagex and Hannah of London--Rose, aswell as our +1s, Louise, Josh, Maisy and Rachel. It was such an amazing evening, so thanks so much to Emma and the Aussie team for sorting it all out!

To cut a long story short, it was held at Avalon Club in Shoreditch, where we were treated to hair tips, having our hair styled and of course, free cocktails! The unexpected twist to the night were three actors wandering about claiming to be Prince Charming, Cinderella and Snow White. Though Prince Charming was yum, he was a well rumoured jigallo, and we spent the majority of the evening following the antics of the three as Cinderella and Snow White bitch fighted over him! Lol! So anyway, this is what I was wearing;

So I never thought that I could wear a maxi dress. They just looked granny-ish and unattractive on some of the girls Id seen it on, and I thought only celebs could pull it off.
I was in New Look and they added a new 'boutique' section to my local store (with items from other clothing lines) with this beauty for £20. I tried it on and I LOVED it. Its so comfy and cool, and I love the vintage-style flower pattern with clashing pink and green. I guess the moral of the story is, don't knock it till you've tried it! I will definitely be purchasing more of these things! (The one thing I will say though is make sure you buy the right one for your body type, as I tried a few others on and they looked TERRIBLE)

I'm back baby! Outfit Post and Aussie event photos!

So I'm officially back! Did you miss me? My exams are all done so now I'll be back to posting once every other day. Lots of exciting things coming up, and this was one of them! My first Aussie event was a 'Girls Night In' theme, at the Hempel Hotel in London.
I met the lovely Kavita of [iheartvintagex] and my friend Hannah of [London--rose] at Lancaster Gate, and as three girls who are prone to getting lost we arrived about half an hour late! But we were soon settled down with glasses of champagne and some magazines. Over the course of the night we got our hair and makeup done by proffessionals, aswell as a consultation with a stylist. Steven the stylist was very complimentary, so we all left feeling pretty good lol! And of course, we left with a gorgeous goody bag full of products, 2 Aussie hairsprays, an Aussie hair heat protecter and some MaxFactor Makeup. All gorgeous! Will definitely be put to good use. Thank you so much to Aussie, Emma and the other organisers!

Been totally freaked out recently, due to a few brushes with 'paranormal activity'. I don't believe in that bullcrap, but seriously freaky shit has been going on. Being woken by bangs which have no source, really weird horrible dreams, aching body parts when I wake up, and perhaps the scariest, a lovebite on my neck which has no source. (You can kind of see it in one of the pics) Weird right?

And finally, I am aware this is not a vlog. I did do it, but its just a practicey one as I didn't think about what I was going to put in it so it ended up being a lame 3 minutes dancing about in my ebay clothes LOL. I will do one when I get an idea for one :)

Just incase you were wondering what the little black monster was that keeps appearing in my photos (No matter how hard I try to push her out :/) its my dog Holly, so I took a picture of her :) And my hair is HORRIBLE, it looks so split endy and mank, I apologise if you were eating while you saw the pictures.

And to all those in England who could've voted and didn't, nice one because we now have a hung parliment, which means we're f**ked. I'd pretty much lost faith in politics anyway, and this is just the kicker. Now theres going to be more corruption, dirty deals and negotiations while the country goes to pits. Oh, and Gordo is still in charge, even though Conservative won by over 2 million votes and 50 seats. Oh well, thats politics...in better news I voted for Green Party and they got their first ever seat, so thats good :)

Also one last thing, I just made a [twitter] account. I'm not sure about it yet, but I like doing about 6 facebook status updates a day and i'm sure my friends get irritated, so this will probably be better :) Would be nice to have some followers to encourage me though! I went into Primark looking for some comfy oversized stuff, and found these babies! I've been wearing my ex boyfriends tracksuit bottoms and hoody for a while and they are so cush but it felt a bit weird...so i'm glad I got round to this! I used to shop for my ex's presents in Primark (he never knew the difference and I was a pikey haha) and its all really cheap and really comfy! This is a huge upside to being a boy methinks. So I got this oversized maroon college jumper and grey rugby cardigan;

London's 'Koko's' club

This is from a little while ago which is why I look a bit different but I liked this outfit :) I was wearing my brogues but forgot to take a pic with them in it. If you don't live in London/haven't heard of Kokos night club its a pretty edgy place in Camden, which is why i'm dressed down and I wore flats. Its so incredible, its one of my favourite clubs ever. Here's some pics I found of it as I didnt take many good ones (speaking of bad pictures, someone can explain to me why all these pictures are purple LOL)

Its a refurbished theatre, its SO amazing, you can go everywhere, in the boxes and on the different floors, and each floor has a bar where the seats used to be! On Fridays its mainly live bands and then afterwards they place really good indie dance music :)

To celebrate 150 followers, instead of just a boring old giveaway i've decided to have a fashion competition :) I know I said I would announce this next week but as I hit 150 followers I thought I would go ahead and do it today!

So heres the brief, and its so simple, you can all join in if you want!

Basically you just have to submit your favourite outfit. It could be as a photo of you wearing your favourite outfit, or you can draw your own invention, or you can assemble your perfect outfit using pictures from shops, i.e. Topshop online. Examples of what you can do are shown below (I dont own the centre image)

It doesnt have to be something you're wearing now, it can be from summer, winter, a holiday, nights out, whatever! As long as you look good :) Feel free to submit more than one photo or to make a collage. All the entries will be featured on the blog, and once they're in i'll choose four finalists and then leave it to a vote until theres one winner.

Once you have your outfit, you can either:

Well first of all I'll start with this photoshoot pic...the concept was the theme of 'dolls' and apart from the annoyingness that I now have a tan, and this would have looked amazing when I was pale, I think they turned out pretty good. Hey chickies, I'm sorry if you're looking for the blog giveaway winners, but thats not what i'm announcing. APRIL FOOLS. HAHA...that was so poor, but its the only joke i've made all day, very dissapointed in myself this year if i'm honest.

After a bit of thought i've decided to wait until after I get back next Friday to decide the winners, as by then I will have picked up a few decent runner up prizes and not winging it at the last minute. By any means I would have had to wait until after I got back to send them, so your not missing anything :)

This outfit was a bit crazy and mis-matched, I dont know if it was too much? The ripped tights look so bad, I took this at the end of the day where they had gone a bit crazy but they looked soooo good when i did them this morning, oh well! Apparently theres a trick with clear nail polish so they dont make one huge hole but I didn't have time!

I am in LOVE with these shorts if you've been following this long you may have seen them on my Topshop wishlist waaaaay way back, can't believe they are now actually in my wardrobe! The second pic of them I took a couple of days ago which is why the outfit is different :)

OUTFIT POST ♥ & my most controversial look to date?

Regardless of whether or not you like this look, I had the funnest day everrrrrr wearing these out! I got some old grandads and grannies giving me disapproving looks, some guys I know saying I looked hot but they were a bit 'shocked' and some girls saying they kind of liked it, but "how on Gods EARTH could you wear that in public?" Oh, and the icing on this delicious cake was my mother sitting me down and saying I looked like a slut, and that as a 'non slutty girl' I shouldn't attract the attention of old men (as I do). Thank you mother for your delightful comments, it has done nothing but make me want to wear them morrreeee hahahaaa!

And, dear mother, if you're so sure I look like a slut, riddle me this: how is it that if I had gone out today with BARE LEGS I would have not gotten the same response? Surely the more classy thing to do would be to add MORE clothes, rather to take them away? :)

Of course I was inspired by this look from both Hannah of London--Rose, and by some photos of Lily Allen and Taylor Momsen. Both have either sported the full-on look, or the 'mock hold-up' tights. I was a bit dissapointed that the older generation have dubbed this trend 'unclassy'. I don't actually find a thing wrong with this look, and I don't understand why people do. When I first saw this look I didn't think OMG straight away, I just thought it was a bit unusual, so obviously im just a weirdo :) Yes, walking outdoors in your bra and pants with stockings and suspenders is unclassy, but worn right, they look HOT. I really want this to take off so I can shove it in some peoples faces haha!

Either way, I'm kind of an 'attention seeker' when it comes to fashion and I thank these little beauties for making life in a small town MUCH MORE INTERESTING. Seriously, when did everyone get so damn boring! Live a little you grannies! Godddddddddddd

And my aunt told me that apparently her type of bowel cancer is very treatable, only needs 6 months of chemo and an op, and that my cousin is helping her through it and telling her about the chemo, bless his heart! So things are looking up a bit :)

a FML week

Ever have those weeks when life just screws you up the ass? Where everything that could go wrong does, and more?

I got some really, really horrible news yesterday. My 12 year old cousin was diagnosed with cancer a while ago, which was a real shock. However, hes come through chemotherapy amazingly, and now just has six months of immunotherapy left. Hes so strong - hes a real inspiration to everyone. However, yesterday I found out that his mum was diagnosed with Bowel cancer. God works in funny ways. I'm wishing, praying that they are both strong enough to get through this okay. They are the loveliest, kindest family, and they didnt deserve this. Please could you keep them in your wishes and prayers for me? Thank you.

To top this all off, some more, (rather insignificant in comparison) s**t happened this week. I got my A-Level results back, and one of them wasnt good. It looks like I wont be going to Leeds, which is a real blow for me.

Then as a cherry on the cake, add in some family issues, work issues and friends issues, and you got yourself a nice slice of FML. I don't want to turn into a really pessimistic person, so I'm trying to turn things around to make myself more optimistic, but its hard when life piles in on, you know?

Anyway, I'm sorry about that, but I needed a little vent. If your only interested in the fashion part, here it is:

the day i went on an adventure to the seaside.

Whats up homies! Yet again I have to rush this as i'm running out for a chinese!

Me and my friend Sarah decided to embrace this amazing weather and go on an adventure to Southend on Sea :) You are in for a treat, as this is possibly my FAVOURITE SKIRT IN THE WHOLE WORLD EVER. I got it in Topshop about 2 years ago for £60, and its probably my best purchase ever. Its so beautiful, you cant really see well, but its got running horses all over it and an attached leather belt, so cute! The rest of my outfit isnt so interesting as the skirt is so detailed i try not to outstage it! I just wore a plain long sleeved top and plain grey cardigan from H&M, and my plum Converses. I later wore my khaki River Island parka when it got a bit chilly :)

I also couldnt resist doing a bit of shopppeeeeeeen, so I will save a post of my purchases for tomorrow. Catch you then! ♥

I'm a dirty liar! Sorry didn't do a post yday, was sooooooo tired just collapsed into bed after getting home. I'm about to do the same now so i'll make this quick!

You'll notice for a start that these aren't polaroids, partly because im too lazy but also because i thought it might be getting annoying? Please let me know which you prefer!

Okay so I got this cute denim jacket (from Primark of all places) and I layered it over the top of a little blue lace dress I got from one of the New Look Boutiques which are only in the larger stores. I wore my scarf because it was freezing today, I love these flower ones which have started going around, although I know not everyone is a fan! I wanted to keep it simple because there was a lot going on, so I wore my military boots from eBay.

Topshop Unique! ♥

You've probably realised by now that I have VERY little patience for real fur on the catwalk, I'm all behind PETA on that one. HOWEVER, I was very interested in the amazing line up for the Topshop Unique catwalk, the first High Street brand to make it to LFW! And I'm sure the high street will provide some more ethical, high street equivalents :)

Normally I must admit, I'm not that interested in the catwalk. Although it provides good inspiration sometimes, normally real life high street outfits are much more exciting. I've never really got the whole catwalk thing.

Anywho, you know how much I love animal motifs and Topshop Unique was themed around them! All the catwalk models came out with wild bushy hair and eyebrows, and with animal horns on their heads. I especially love the wooly patterned tights and the colour scheme of brown/beige and navy!

I probably won't be doing this again as I dont like catwalks, but this is just a one off exception for my beloved Topshop :)

Hey sexy peopleeeeees :) Another crazy outfit for the weather, but I was inside so I only had to run from the car :) Was regretting this when I went out for a cigarette though...:/
So I'm wearing a black black tank top from Topshop, and the skirt from Hollister I mentioned before. Grey stockings are from Primark and worker boots from eBay. The blue wooly cardi is from eBay and is an Abercrombie look-alike, and only for £4! Love it!

Also did anyone hear about the trainer who was killed by an Orca at SeaWorld Orlando? I hate SeaWorld and I think its disgusting that they keep such large mammals in such small tanks, so to me this was tragic but inevitable. Just wondering if anyone else had any opinions on this ♥

I'm a ginge! I had done red before but it faded out and I was too lazy to redo it, but I finally got around to it! I'd muchmuchmuch rather be blonde but since I can't, I want to at least have hair that stands out, rather than my usual mousey brown :| This was such a random day. My friend was stressed out about something so we went to the zoo a half hour away from us. I love the zoo, though I haven't been for at least a couple of years! Sorry about the dodgy quality pics, I would have done my polaroid special, but cba :)
I would have done an outfit post, but my outfit was pretty much the same as the other day as its the warmest! I will do an outfit post tomorrow, promiseeeee :) ♥

Hellllooo lovelies, a more casual look today as I just went to college :) I'll start by saying please excuse my obesity and horrible side profile pic, was in a huge rush as i'm going out in a tic!
Soo the floral top is from Topshop, the beige hoodie from New Look and the khaki jacket, of course, from River Island. The grey stockings are Primark dealies and the gorg pochahontus fringed shoes from Primark too :)

My flower hairclip is from Accessorise, its so cute! And I added something extra, the ring and necklace I wear every day. Name necklaces are big right now, i've had this one since my eighteenth birthday and it was about £200, but there are some cheaper ones knocking around I'm sure! (Sorry about the green colour lol but you get the idea!)

This is a very OT post, but I had to share how amazing I thought this movie was :)

I'm too tired to do an outfit post tonight, but tomorrow definitely...although now half term is officially over, I have to return to work mode :(

Anyway, so this movie is set in the seventies, and I have to take a minute to get back on topic and to say I love seventies movies, because the clothes were so cute! Especially the grandma, she had style! ♥

I especially loved watching 'The Boat that Rocked' (have you seen it?) set in the sixties because the clothes were so fab - I got a lot of inspiration!

Anyway, back to the movie. I won't ruin it for those who haven't seen it, but it was so beautiful. I went with my two friends - who are consequently going out - and I was in tears for some of it. The limbo-style heaven she lives in is amazing. I wasn't expecting the murder part to be so...I won't say graphic, but a bit detailed for my liking, and some of this ruined the movie, but then, I guess the book was detailed.

Saorise Ronan, who plays Suzie, has the most incredible blue eyes that I was searing with jealousy over the whole film. For a 15 year old girl, hell she can act. She was also in Atonement (another one of my favourites) and was so good in that aswell.

Once we were out of the cinema, my friend Sam (being a typical male) disrupted the people leaving by announcing it was the worst film he'd seen (well, a bit more graphic than that) I think because, to be fair, in a film version the plotline seemed a bit weaker and some things didn't transcribe well into cinema. If you haven't read the novel, I HIGHLY recommend it, if you did or didn't like the movie.

Anywhoo, I don't know if anyone will even be interested in this as it has nothing to do with fashion, but I'll probably take to doing a few more of these OT posts, as I want this blog to be more personal than others are. And I did mention clothes at least once!

I may do an outfit post later when I get back from the cinema (seeing the lovely bones!!! =]=]) but for now i need to have a moan.
So I bought the A&F hoodie, I chose this one in the end:
Isnt it gorg? Only problem is, I ended up getting a medium as I was told the small was a 4-6 and a medium is a 8-10. If this is not correct I will kill someone :
AND apparently they 'frown upon' returns. And return postage is like $30, which is a big sack of BS as ive posted things to America before and it does NOT cost that much. Are they seriously trying to discourage me from buying their products or what???

I felt seeing as I was moaning about A&F, I might as well tell you about my horrible experience with Hollisters in Westfields, London the other day.

So it looks amazing from the outside, I dunno if you've seen, but I was like WOW when I first saw it...

Okay I just looked and I can't find a picture, but it draws your attention. So first, we decided to stroll on in, where a beautiful halfcast guy with an afro guarded the door. Just as we were about to walk by him, he puts out his hand and stops us. He tells us to wait in the que, and when I look around my face drops as I realise there is a que curling around the corner, JUST TO GET IN THE SHOP. We qued up anyway, as my friend really wanted to get in, and ended up having a good 40 minutes wait, I kid you not.
EVENTUALLY we get in, and I feel momentarily lost when I discover it is pitch black inside. Seriously. I had to claw my way around, and caught my hip on the displays more than once.
I found this super cute skirt (which I'll put on a future post) but I had no way of telling the colour. I actually stood under a spotlight and held it up to try and see, but I actually couldn't :
Nor could I try it on, because despite it being a shop which accomadates a lot of people, it seems to have only one changing room. Brill. Don't really fancy another half hour wait thanks.
It was £45, so I took the risk. I ended up searching the shop for 10 minutes to find a mirror, which convieniently was located squashed in a corner behind an armchair with about 6 people fighting for space, and I held it up against myself.
I decided to buy, and after another speedy 30 minute wait, I arrived at one of the three tills, only one of which was accomadated by a member of staff. Apparently all that standing around and looking sexy is much more important.
The girl who was serving me was talking to another girl staff, who apparently had nothing better to do, despite the fact there was a long que and empty tills. They clearly had rubber for brains, the crap they were going on about, and it took her ages to serve me as she was obviously distracted.

I escaped, just, with my skirt, after a mere 2 hours inside the claustrophobic shop :)

That was a rant and a half, haha. I hope to God my hoodie is super hot.

Have any of you been to Abercrombie or Hollister shops? Am I the only one who was pissed off by this experience?

Today was another casual one, I just went shopping for a bit. I've got a brown studded jumper from this boutique called Virgo, and my jeggings from H&M. I'm wearing my brogues (♥) and this cute vintage style scarf from ASOS.
I was just sitting down to upload the pictures when my cat barges in and demands attention, practically sitting on my laptop :L So I took a picture to apease him.

Yes, I am shamelessly listening to Glee on Youtube :) Only a few of my English friends are really that into it, but if there are any Yanks about, you must know what I mean when I say I'm obsessed???
Sorry they're all funny colours, I didnt have time to edit properly. I gotta go, my bath is about to overflow!!! ARGHHHHH

This is just a quickie one as i'm off out in a sec! The outfit looks not nearly as good in photos, but I pretty much threw it together at the last minute!

I'm wearing a blue top from Primark, which was originally a batwing top that I customised. Over that a H&M basic grey cardi, and a pair of shorts I got at a charity shop. The grey stockings are from Primark, and the grey brogues are from River Island.

At the end of this I felt very...well, grey, so I added on a bright red belt I also got at a charity shop. I kept snug with my River Island Parka.

This is another outfit which I will pay for weather-wise, but nevermind. Maybe its a bit overdone? Its a shame I dont have any plain shorts that would have gone with this better!

P.S. If you were wondering, I'm definitely going with one of the fur lined hoodies from my previous post, just dunno what one yet! Unfortunatly it means digging into my car insurance money...but thats what overdrafts are for, right? :)

Arghhh I need serious help! I am so torn about this!
The amazing and horribly unaffordable Abercrombie is having a 75% off sale, making its items actually within my price range.
So I want a new coat/hoody for Uni seeing as I'll be up North and chilly so i'm stocking up on winter clothes! And I won't be able to afford this when I'm a student!

So I narrowed it down to these three choices. The down/fur lined ones are £65 and the burgundy one is £45. Do you think the fur ones are nice though? Or that they'll look a bit chavvy seeing as the whole inside of the hood is fur?

Which one would you choose if any? ♥

This was pretty casual, as I just went to a friends :) Im obsessed with this burgundy/maroon colour atm! The scoop neck jumper was from New Look and the jacket was from ASOS. The jeggings were cheapo ones I got at V Festival last year, and of course I paired my matching Converses :) And I added a little clock necklace, its so cute!

Yeah...I have developed an unhealthy obsession with making these polaroid things...please tell me if their annoying or if you prefer the other way I post pictures!
I'm wearing my new khaki River Island Parka ^^, and my new jeggings from H&M. The cardigan was an eBay find, its an oversized grandad cardi and its amazing!
I kept nice and cozy in my Ugg boots. I hate that they have become a symbol of chav culture, because I think they look awesome with the right look (and they are so, unbelievably comfortable)
Looks like there will be a lot more mirror pics as I still havent found the cable for my own camera...I should probably be productive this evening and clean my room to search for it...

Southend shopping! ♥

Sooo I was going Southend shopping yesterday...and I was kind of bummed because I had no money to spend...
Buuuuut my lovely mummy got a bonus so Charlie got one too...A beautiful £100 bonus! RESULT! God I am so spoilt :)

These gorgeous jegging's i've had my eye on for a while...the ones in Topshop were the ones I liked but they were quite expensive, but then I went H&M and found these little beautys for £15!

This bodycon dress I had my eye on for a very long time, I kept seeing it but just looking over it, but then I tried it on and it was so amazing I had to buy! (Well, technically my sister did, but we share everything)

Okay, just to emphasise how spoilt I am, not only did I get £100 dinero but my mum paid half for this khaki parka because I assured her it was practical haha! It was £60 from River Island and I've been looking for a parka like this for a while, they're going to be a big thing for the Spring months! With the whole military theme going on, with the boots and khaki, I couldn't resist adding the vintage RayBan's!

This dress is so cute but i'ts so summery it'll be a while before I get to wear it :( Its plain navy but with rope ties at the arms and it was from Topshop. This...was also my sisters :) Sharing is the first thing you learn are preschool !

I'm definitely going back to Southend in a hurry, the shopping is pretty good! And I love the sea...i'm not sure if I would have liked to grown up there (its pretty chavvy if you haven't heard) but even when its wintery and miserable its still gorgeous! :)

I have to apologise for the horrendous quality of these pictures, I had to use my dad's camera as the location of the missing camera lead is still unknown! ♥

I'm going to have an outfit post of what I bought yesterday later, but for now just had to spread the happy news of my recent eBay purchase!
This is a gorgeous vintage saddle pag with a lion embellishment on it. And the price tag? A mere £7, incuding postage and packaging!
It drives me crazy that most of my incredibly lazy friends hear of my finds and think its amazing but for some reason are scared of eBay! I distinctly remember my friend Louise who constantly assures me its 'not safe' and that she bought shoes once that were too big, and lost her faith in it instantly.

I'm not saying I haven't had bad eBay times, because I have. But that was only one occasion, and the others have been fixable. eBayers are very efficient and respectful, i've been offered money or postage refunded and one guy even dropped it down to my house when the postal strike was on (result!)
Its 100% safe with Paypal, which I would always recommend using. Item descriptions are often pretty reliable, because a dodgy description can make the purchase void. And most of the time, the risk is sometimes part of the fun! Sometimes they turn up different to how they appeared, and sometimes it's better than expected! So to all the eBay-cynics out there, take the jump!

This is definitely one of my favourite trends of 2009/2010. I l o v e these boots, and River Island comes out on top! The baby pink Doc Martens are pretty special though, was very tempted to buy them on eBay for around £50 a while ago but I got my military boots instead for £40. The only thing I DO NOT like about this trend is it makes your feet look HUGE :l Im guessing it all depends whether you want the real deal, or to fake it with the fashion alternative. Either way looks good!
Im so bummed because my dad is taking his sweet time finding the camera lead for the camera i got for christmas, so i cant do an outfit post! im determined to find it today, im going shopping in Southend and I want to bring it with me! Gahhh :( ♥

Yay first outfit post! Well I'm wearing this tonight to go to the pub, i'll probably freeze to death but you have to suffer for fashion :)

I wore the pixie boots from before (which you will probably see many times more!), my panda beenie from River Island and this amazing Equine jumper from Topshop (one of my obsessions for 2010!).

The panda beenie was £12 on eBay, which true I would not normally spend that much on a hat (I dont lie, some of the other panda beenie hats such as the sold out grey ones were going for as much as £40!) but its so cute! Its absolutely EVERYWHERE now, and when I bought it my friends were kind enough to take the piss, WHOS LAUGHING NOW? haha :)

The jumper was a bad impulse buy because it was £25, which is WAY too much to spend on one item of clothing when you dont have a job : but I love it so much! I wanted it oversized but it was sold out so I had to get a 6 in petite, which is why the sleeves are a bit short!
Lastly I chucked on some frayed denim shorts I got in River Island a while ago, I will probably freeze to death but I miss summer when I didn't have to wear jeans all the time :( they were around £35 I think.

Topped it all off with my messy hair and red lipstick!

I have to set a moment aside to write about Alexander (Lee) McQueen. Most people have heard now that he apparently commited suicide yesterday at age 40, just days after the death of his mother.

I don't know why this upset me so much...maybe because he was so young, and had so much ahead of him. All I know it this just proves that even those who you think are truly happy can have a storm cloud over their head that you cant see. Love to his friends and family, what a waste of such an amazing life ♥

God, I LOVE shoes. I never used to be that into them, and didn't understand the fixation, but now I see things a little differently!

These are the shoes I've been wearing at the moment for Winter. I have some gorgeous gladiators and jelly shoes and some more heels for Summer but they wont emerge for some time :( Nevermind, on with the Winter selection!

These are possibly my favourite shoes at the moment! They're gorgeous tasselled pixie boots I got a while ago from Primark. They're pretty thin so my feet get kind of cold, so I normally wear stockings like these grey lace ones from New Look.

I'm so happy at the moment, as this Summer sees set to the return of my beloved Converses! When I was around 15 I was OBSESSED with them (and I still have almost every colour, including some amazing gold sequin ones). These maroon/plum coloured ones are my favourite at the moment, ever since I saw them on the stunning Karen Gillian (Doctor Who's new assistant). Me and my fam have always watched that show with my cousins (don't take the piss, this is my geek side!) so i'm pretty excited about this girl because she looks like she has style!

These worker boots I also got from eBay for less than £10. They're pretty scuffed up as when I first got them I wore them all the time to walk the dog to distress them a bit.

I got these worker/military boots on eBay for about £40. I've been trying really hard to bash them up and distress them, but theyre so tough! I love the worker boots in River Island at the moment but at £75/£80 they're a BIT out of my price range! The socks are from Primark and are supposed to be slipper socks but I cut off the pom poms.

I got these brogues in Leeds when I was visiting my friend at Uni. They're real leather and they were from New Look.

I've had these cowboy boots for an age, and I love them because I got them at a vintage shop and it was a real mission to find a matching pair! They're a little bit too big but the detail on them is amazing though its hard to see in the photo.

Wow, I've been meaning to start a fashion blog for a while, and I cant believe I'm finally getting around to it! I'm going to post a few things to start off, then hopefully be regular after that so make sure to check back!
I'll be honest, I wasn't always a dedicated fashion follower. When I was younger I went through a HORRIBLE grungey stage, with those nasty baggy trousers with the tassles. Yeah, those ones.
I think it was around two or three years ago that I started being more aware of the way I dressed. I'm a bit eccentric and outspoken, so my outfits tend to reflect that.
I sometimes go a bit crazy and take risks, but I love it when they work out and I'm repayed with compliments! I'm not going to deny that sometimes my friends are divided whether they like my outfit or not, but as long as I love it, who cares? Fashion is there to express yourself, to give an impression on the kind of person you are! Go wild!
